De Vos Set for Canada Return? - Ipswich Town News

Skipper Jason De Vos has sold his house and will return home to Canada in the summer, according to reports. The former Canadian international is out of contract at the end of the season and says he doesn't want to play for another club after the Blues.

De Vos said: "I'm very happy at Ipswich and I have no desire to play for anyone else. I don't foresee myself playing for anyone other than Ipswich Town. The gaffer knows that and he knows I'm happy here.

"I know he values the contribution I make and I feel comfortable in saying I expect this to be my last football club because playing for anyone else would be a step down unless, improbably, I were to go to a Premiership club.”

De Vos told TWTD earlier in the summer that he would return to Canada once his playing days are over and was considering moves into coaching, football administration or the media. The 34-year-old has reportedly been offered the chance to work in Canadian television and could take up the opportunity if no new Town deal is on the table come the end of the season.
