A few more details of Gary Croft's arrest have come to light. He has been charged with driving whilst disqualified on September 20th, 23rd and 30th, driving without insurance on these dates and giving false information to the police on the 23rd.

Croft is reported as saying "I would like to apologise sincerely to the club, my fellow players and all the supporters for putting myself in this position so soon after arriving at the club."

Chairman David Sheepshanks said: "Our continued support of Gary will depend on his conduct and approach between now and the resolution of this case as well as the eventual course taken by the court."

Manager George Burley, a man known to hate indiscipline at his club said: "Very surprised, disappointed and astonished to hear the news. Gary has let his self, his family and the club down."
