Town Pull Out of Nugent Deal - Ipswich Town News
Town have announced that Portsmouth striker David Nugent will not now be moving to Portman Road on loan. The Pompey frontman is still unfit and Jim Magilton has decided instead to look elsewhere for a loan goalscorer.
Magilton told the club site: "The Portsmouth medical people have told us today that David is still not fit and won't be until next week at the earliest.
"Games are running out for us now and we have decided we need to move on and look at other targets. We have other irons in the fire and will step up our interest elsewhere now."
Fulham and Northern Ireland striker David Healy is widely tipped to be amongst Magilton's alternative options.
