Roberts Returns From Loan - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Gary Roberts has returned to the Blues after his loan spell with Crewe Alexandra was cut short by an achilles problem. However, the Railwaymen are keen for the former Accrington man to rejoin them for a second month once he is over the injury.
Crewe assistant boss Neil Baker said: "Gary is injured and he's not going to be fit for the weekend.
"We will pick up on his situation again on Monday. We'd still like to extend the loan if he is going to be fit, but he is getting treatment back at Ipswich now."
Roberts's month on loan at Gresty Road was originally due to end on Monday. The 23-year-old has so far made four appearances for the Alex.
