Bowden: Two-Thirds of £12m Still to Be Spent - Ipswich Town News

Chief executive Derek Bowden says that two-thirds of Marcus Evans's £12 million investment into the club is still to be spent. Bowden was talking to TWTD in an interview featured in issue 91 of the fanzine, which is out on Saturday.

Bowden says that the January signings and part of their wages have accounted for a third of Evans's initial investment: "I guess it depends on how you look at wages, fees and the expenditure at the time, but we've got about two-thirds of it left.

"We've looked at an 18-month cashflow, so what we've done is look at where we are between now and the end of June and have a very broad-brush look at where we'll be in 08/09 in order to ensure that the acquisitions are affordable over a period of time.

"It's not an exact science, but with £12 million coming into the club we can afford to be that little bit more general in our outlook. We looked at the impact on our profit and loss and our cashflow in particular over a period of 18 months.

"Much beyond that and you're looking through a telescope as so much can change. We're very mindful of the impact on our cashflow.â€ÂÂ
