Walters Set for Surgery on Wednesday - Ipswich Town News
Striker Jon Walters will undergo knee surgery on Wednesday but is expected to be back in action before the end of the season. Walters has been struggling with the injury for some months and the surgery has been put off as long as possible.
Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "We wanted to give Jon the weekend to see if the knee showed any signs of settling down, but as we expected there has been no improvement.
"He is now booked in for surgery on Wednesday and we will have more idea of a return date after the operation.
"You are normally looking at six weeks though, which means he could be back for the last game of the season."
On-loan striker Shefki Kuqi and midfielder David Norris had scans this morning on the hamstring and heel injuries which forced them off during Saturday's 2-0 victory over Charlton.
