Naked Football Show Wins Award - Ipswich Town News

The Naked Football Show, the regular football discussion programme presented by Graham Blackburn and TWTD's Phil, was named ICRFM's Best Speech-Based Show at the radio station's annual awards ceremony on Saturday evening.

In presenting the award, station co-ordinator Nick Greenland described the show as a cut above similar programmes: "Intelligent and hugely informative, without ever losing its sense of humour, it's a far cry from the usual football moan-in shows.”

Graham and Phil would like to thank all the guests and contributors from previous shows, without whom nothing would have been possible and have dedicated the award to the Dalai Lama, as they believe is customary on these occasions.

We're always looking for guests for future shows and anyone is welcome. If you're interested in appearing, send Graham an email at grazieitfc@yahoo.co.uk.

This Wednesday's show (6pm until 6.30pm) will be chaired by Graham with Phil, Ray Slegg and special Danish guest Finn Smed Sahlholdt completing the panel.

Under discussion will be the 0-0 draw with QPR, whether Jim should have played Jordan Rhodes, Danny Haynes and his Premier League links, how the weekend results leave the Blues' chances of promotion, Saturday's possible relegation of Colchester and anything else suggested by listeners.

Send in your comments by email, either to philip.ham@twtd.co.uk before 5pm on Wednesday or studio@icrfm.co.uk from then on until the show's end. You can also send in texts during the programme via 07973 851968.

ICR can be heard in the immediate Ipswich area on 105.7FM and has an eclectic array of programmes, which include almost any style of music you can think of promoting local bands and musicians, as well as morning and magazine shows, in addition to foreign language programmes in Polish, Portuguese, Cantonese, Farsi and Hindi.

If you're not in the Ipswich area, the show can be heard live online at http://www.icrfm.co.uk, while the programme will be available as a podcast tomorrow. The easiest way to listen to it is via iTunes. Simply search for TWTD within the iTunes shop and you can subscribe to all issues free. You can get direct access via an XML feed here: .
