Bury Shop to Shut - Ipswich Town News

The club shop in Bury St Edmunds is set to close at the end of June. The Planet Blue store has been deemed "not economically viable” after trading for more than 10 years.

Sales and marketing director Andrew Goulborn told the club site: "It is a decision that we have taken reluctantly, but is the result of a thorough review of our whole retail operation.

"Increasingly we have found that our presence in Bury is not economically viable with customer numbers down and operating costs increasing year on year. We will, however, continue to review future retail opportunities in Bury.

"For our supporters based in Bury, who currently use the Planet Blue store there, we will be encouraging them to use our telephone and internet channels for buying both merchandise and match tickets.

"The use of these has grown massively over the last two years, up by 35 per cent, and supporters coming to ITFC games will, of course, be able to continue to use the Planet Blue Superstore at Portman Road."
