Sheepshanks: Jim Will Have Money to Spend - Ipswich Town News
David Sheepshanks has confirmed that boss Jim Magilton will have money to spend in the summer. The club chairman is refusing to rule out the Blues reaching the play-offs this season.
Sheepshanks said: "There will be more money available to Jim in the summer with the actual amount depending on Marcus.
"We now have our scouts in place and have the wherewithal to stage a global operation to recruit players. And our targets will be the top players at our level.â€Â
Sheepshanks says the Blues are still in with a chance of a play-off place this season, despite the recent downturn in form, although he concedes that promotion next season is now a more likely target: "A total in the low 70's will gain a play-off place.
"It is too early to write us off, and all is not lost. But we do need start winning games again.â€Â
