Marcus Stewart and Matt Holland will be going media appearance crazy this weekend when they not only appear on Live and Kicking, but also on Bright and Wright's Five Live show. Stewart and Holland are set to sing a nineties version of Hoddle and Waddle's Diamond Lights on the kids' show before talking to the ex-Palace strikers.
Live and Kicking runs from 9am to 12.10am while the pair will be on the radio for the last ten to fifteen minutes of the programme, from roughly 12.15 onwards, although we'd tune in early.
One bit of the above is made up.
The Academy sides are in action again this Saturday after the superb 4-3 victory from the youth team contingent against Arsenal yesterday. The U17s play at Reading in the first round of the play-offs while the U19s play Chelsea at home.
Ex-Town man Kieron Dyer has started walking unaided after his shin splint operations. The Ipswich-born player will miss the rest of this season's action and is behind his old club's push for the Champions' League.
His Newcastle side meet Town next weekend, a game in which Dyer will have split loyalties: "That is going to be a tough one for me, obviously I will want Newcastle to win, but I would love to see Ipswich qualify for the Champions' League."
Glad he hasn't forgotten his roots.
