Boys of 81 Documentary on Monday - Ipswich Town News
ESPN Classic are showing a previously unseen documentary on Town's 1980/81 UEFA Cup-winning season on Monday, 21st April at 10.30pm. The film includes comment from former striker Alan Brazil in addition to footage of Sir Bobby Robson's best Town side.
Gary Imlach, who presents the programme, says the team deserved to win more than they did: "They were every neutral's favourite and maybe the best team never to win the title. They did manage the consolation of the UEFA Cup that year, and of course, the consolation for everyone else was the attractive football they played.
"Bobby Robson's teams have always been good to watch, and with Alan Brazil telling the story it's well worth listening to.â€Â
ESPN Classic is available on Sky channel 442.
