Naked Football Show Takes Over Breakfast Slot - Ipswich Town News

Next week sees TWTD's Phil and Graham Blackburn's radio show The Naked Football Show take over the Monday breakfast slot on ICR FM. The new show, provisionally titled Breakfast of Champions, will take a look at the previous weekend's sport, but also so much more.

As with the Wednesday evening programme, we're after listener input on subjects relating to Town, but also sport in general, whether locally or nationally. Feel free to make a point regarding the game against Preston on Saturday or the weekend's Town tabloid transfer rumours, but also, going on into the summer, how England are faring against New Zealand and other sporting events closer to home.

The show will also feature music which aims to differ from the usual breakfast show fare and we'd love listeners to request tunes of their own - the more eclectic your approach the better. Music complaints to Graham, not Phil.

We also want to cover news, but as ICR is as low rent as it comes, there is no actual newsroom, so we want you the listeners to provide us with the news. Have you seen anything newsworthy on the way to work? Anything happening in the garden? Or have you seen something in some news source somewhere in the world which you feel deserves wider attention for being vaguely amusing, bizarre or just unbelievably dull?

Like The Naked Football Show we hope Breakfast of Champions (can you think of a better name?) will develop a character of its own over the weeks, months and years to come, with feedback from listeners an integral part.

Send in your comments/suggestions/news/requests by email to philip.ham@twtd.co.uk> before the show or studio@icrfm.co.uk during it when you can also send texts via 07973 851968. The new show will also feature weekly guests covering a variety of topics.

Breakfast of Champions (or whatever it will ultimately be called) starts this Monday and runs from 7am to 10am.

ICR FM can be heard in the immediate Ipswich area on 105.7FM. If you're not a local, the show can be listened to live online at http://www.icrfm.co.uk. Unfortunately, we're unable to make the show available as a podcast due to music rights issues.
