Reserves in Final League Action of Season at Luton - Ipswich Town News
Town have named a young reserve side for this afternoon's final league game of the season away at Luton's Kenilworth Road (KO 2pm). Tommy Smith returns to the second string after completing his loan spell with Stevenage Borough over the weekend.
The only players with senior experience in the side are Chris Casement and Dean Bowditch. Woodbridge Town keeper Marcus Garnham is filling in between the sticks for the Blues, who are short of fit junior keepers at present.
Midfielder Reggie Lambe is on the bench prior to joining up with a training camp with the Bermudian national side at Fulham's Motspur Park training ground later this week. The 17-year-old is likely to be involved in a behind-closed-doors friendly with a Chelsea reserve side during his time with his national squad.
Town's reserves will face one further match, a play-off to find the overall winners of the three Pontin's Holidays Combination Leagues. Last season the game was held over until the following August when the Blues beat Brighton to claim the trophy.
Reserves: Garnham, Casement, Watson, Smith, Synnott, Reason, Upson, Daniels, Robinson, Bowditch, Ainsley, Subs: Clemo, Clark, Dunbar, Lambe.
