Another Award for Walters - Ipswich Town News

Jon Walters picked up yet another gong last night when he received the Supporters' Club Player of the Year at their annual awards evening held in Legends. Pablo Couñago finished second, while retiring skipper Jason De Vos was third.

Jordan Rhodes won the Dale Roberts Trophy for the Academy Player of the Year.

Meanwhile, Spanish full-back Sito is reported to have been offered a new deal with the Blues. The 27-year-old, who has interested a number of Championship sides over the last year, including Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City, is said to be ready to make his decision whether to stay at Portman Road this week.

Midfielder Owen Garvan was recently offered a new deal which would take him up to 2011 and is also reported to be deciding whether to accept it this week. The 20-year-old, who received his first full Ireland call-up last month, is reportedly interesting a number of Premier League sides.
