Sørensen Linked Again - Ipswich Town News

Town are again being linked with a move for Aston Villa keeper Thomas Sørensen. TWTD first reported the Blues' interest in the 31-year-old Danish international back in January.

Then the Blues failed in their move and signed Stephen Bywater on loan from Derby instead, but according to a report this morning the Blues could move for him again in the summer.

Unsurprisingly, another of Jim Magilton's January targets, Leicester central defender Gareth McAuley, is already being linked with a summer switch to Portman Road now that the Foxes have been relegated to League One.

A national newspaper claims the Blues will launch a £1 million bid for the Northern Ireland international, who appears favourite to replace Jason De Vos at the heart of the Town defence next season.

Also claimed to be a possible target by a local newspaper is fellow Leicester defender Richard Stearman, although reports over the weekend linked the 20-year-old centre-half or right-back with a number of Premier League clubs.
