Sumulikoski Withdrawn from Macedonia Squad - Ipswich Town News
Town have withdrawn Velice Sumulikoski from the Macedonia squad set to take on Poland in a friendly later this month. The Blues want the midfielder rested due to the shin injury which saw him miss much of the last few weeks of the season.
The January signing from Bursapor partially tore an artery in his shin and it initially looked like he would require surgery, however, a top London specialist subsequently said surgery was unnecessary as the problem was healing naturally.
The 27-year-old will be scanned again later in the month and is set to rest during the close season to allow the injury to completely clear up.
