Legwinski Considering Retirement - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Sylvain Legwinski is considering retiring from football after being released by the Blues at the end of the season. The 34-year-old joined Town on a free transfer in the summer of 2006 and was the club's Player of the Year during his first season at Portman Road.
Legwinski, who missed much of 2007/08 due to the foot injury sustained at the end of the previous season, told the club site: "I have to speak to a few people before I make a decision on my future.
"There may be one or two clubs that might be interested or it maybe that it is the right time for me to retire from football.
"I enjoyed my time at Ipswich very much. It was a good move for me to join the club and being voted Player of the Year was very special.
"The second season was not so good but that is football. The injury I had put me back a bit and I was always trying to catch up, which is not good at my age!"
