Released Aston Villa goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen has played down newspaper stories linking him with a move to Juventus. Boss Jim Magilton recently confirmed TWTD's January report which revealed that the Blues had approached the Dane to come in on loan after Neil Alexander's departure.
Sørensen wasn't interested in dropping a division then and appears unlikely to want to now that he is available on a permanent basis, despite Magilton saying he could move for the 31-year-old again during the close season.
The Danish international is likely to have several top division sides from throughout Europe interested in grabbing his signature now that he is available on a free transfer.
But the former Sunderland man says he knows nothing of Juve's apparent interest and in any case wouldn't fancy a move to the Turin club: "I can only say that I haven't heard from Juventus, but maybe my agent knows more about that. It's a great club but I would decline an offer from them."
Elsewhere, the Scottish newspaper story from earlier in the week linking former loanee Jay McEveley with a move back to the Blues has been picked up by a number of other papers this morning. McEveley is widely tipped to be leaving Derby County over the summer.
