Fab Set to Retire - Ipswich Town News
Stalwart defender Fabian Wilnis is virtually certain he will end his playing career having been released by the Blues this summer. Wilnis, 38 in August, has been with Town since making a £200,000 move from De Graafschap in January 1999.
Wilnis is quoted in the Dutch press as saying that he is "70 per cent certain†he will be hanging up his boots after his release by the Blues, although he won't make a final decision until he has considered the matter over the summer.
The Dutchman has become involved in coaching the Blues' reserves and U16s this season and recently helped out former Town youth coach Peter Trevivian by taking a session with Woodbridge Town's U16s along with fellow released veteran Sylvain Legwinski.
