Season Ticket Total Up - Ipswich Town News
Town have revealed that they expect season ticket numbers for next season to exceed the 2007/08 total. Last year the Blues sold just under 15,000 season tickets.
Ticket Office manager John Ford told the club site: "Applications are still coming in and looking at the figures, we are just ahead of where we were last year in terms of sales.
"I would expect us to kick off the new season with a similar number of season ticket holders to where we finished in 2007/08.
"There is normally an uptake of season tickets through the year as well. We were just under 15,000 season tickets in total last year, so it's possible that we could go past that figure this time."
Meanwhile, a report in Switzerland is linking the Blues with FC Sion central defender Obinna Nwaneri. The 26-year-old Nigerian international, who is contracted to the Swiss champions until 2010, has also been linked with Turkish club Trabzonspor and is rated in £2 million bracket.
