Bruce and Garvan Both on Bench - Ipswich Town News

Both Alex Bruce and Owen Garvan will be on the bench for the Republic of Ireland when they take on Serbia in a friendly at Croke Park on Saturday evening (Sky Sports Two, 7.30pm ).

Bruce had been tipped to start but his place in central defence went instead to one-time Town target Paul McShane.

The central defender has previously won one cap, while Garvan is yet to make his full international debut.

Ireland also play Colombia in a friendly at Fulham's Craven Cottage on Thursday.
