Mpenza Agent: Expects Town Offer Soon - Ipswich Town News

Emile Mpenza's agent Rachid Tajhout says he expects his player to receive an offer of a contract from the Blues within the next few days. TWTD first reported Town's interest in the 29-year-old Manchester City frontman back in late April.

Tajhout says his talks with the Blues have gone well: "We have had good discussions with Ipswich and hope to receive an offer in the next week or so."

The agent says Town initially enquired about taking Mpenza on loan in March, but the Belgian international wasn't fit at that stage.

The Congo-born frontman, who is available on a free transfer, is also interesting Bolton, Reading, Leicester and Trabzonspor, while Stoke were understood to be monitoring his situation back in April.
