Supple Keen on Falkirk Return - Ipswich Town News
Keeper Shane Supple says he would welcome a permanent move to loan club Falkirk if he isn't first choice with the Blues next season. The 21-year-old made four appearances for the Bairns after moving to the SPL club in January.
Supple, who has a year left on his Town deal, said: "I'm waiting to hear from Ipswich but I don't want to be sitting on the sidelines again and there are rumours the gaffer is after somebody. If there is a chance at Falkirk, I'd love to go back."
Meanwhile, released defender Fabian Wilnis says he may not hang up his boots at the end of the season after all: "I still feel as fit as ever. I have always prided myself on looking after my body and have no doubts I could carry on playing at a decent level.
"I think I showed last season that I could hold my own and carrying on playing is certainly an option.â€Â
Wilnis, who has been offered a testimonial game next season, is currently on a coaching course at Keele University along with former team-mate John McGreal.
The Dutchman, 38 in August, hopes to start his post-Town career as either a player-coach or assistant boss before progressing to become a manager himself, with the Portman Road job eventually in his sights.
Elsewhere, Town owner Marcus Evans has bought himself a house in Cornwall. Evans has purchased the 1,700-acre Trewarthenick estate near Tregony for the bargain price of £9 million.
