No Comment on Newcastle Striker Ameobi Link - Ipswich Town News

Town have issued a statement in which they refuse to comment on whether Newcastle United have accepted an offer for striker Shola Ameobi. According to reports in the North-East, a fee of £3.5 million rising to £4 million has been agreed with the Magpies for the 26-year-old.

The Town statement reads: "We are aware of reports today linking Ipswich Town Football Club with Shola Ameobi, but we will not be making any comment on the matter."
