Academy midfielder Reggie Lambe won his fifth full international cap overnight as Bermuda beat Barbados 3-0 in a friendly. The 17-year-old made only his second start for his national side before being replaced in the 63rd minute.
Lambe set up Bermuda's first goal, sending in a 12th minute freekick which Keishen Bean headed home.
It was Bermuda's second victory over Barbados in a week, the Gombey Warriors winning Friday's game 2-1. The friendlies had been arranged as preparation for Bermuda's World Cup qualifiers with Trinidad and Tobago. The Bermudians travel to Port of Spain for the first leg on June 15th, with the home leg in Prospect a week later.
Meanwhile, further reports from the North-East claim Town would be unwilling to offer Shola Ameobi a wage above £10,000-a-week, a figure below his earnings at St James' Park.
