Cup Draw on Friday - Ipswich Town News
The first round of the Carling Cup will be drawn on Friday at 10am. The Blues will be hoping to go rather further in the competition this time around after a succession of exits to lower division teams in recent seasons.
Last season the Blues lost a penalty shoot-out to the MK Dons, while it was Peterborough's turn to win on spotkicks in 2006/07.
Yeovil won 2-0 at Portman Road the previous year, while in 2004/05 the Blues at least made it to the second round before losing at Doncaster Rovers.
A year earlier, Town made it past Kidderminster Harriers but succumbed to Notts County.
