QPR Make Gorkss Bid - Ipswich Town News
QPR have confirmed that they have made a bid to Blackpool for reported Town target Kaspars Gorkss. The Blues are claimed to be one of a number of Championship clubs chasing the Latvian central defender, who is understood to have a £250,000 release clause in his Tangerines contract.
A Rangers statement reads: "Queens Park Rangers Football Club can confirm that a bid has been made for Blackpool defender Kaspars Gorkss."
While Gorkss has been mentioned as a possible Town target, Leicester's Gareth McAuley is Jim Magilton's preferred replacement for Jason De Vos, while the Blues have also enquired about Cardiff's Roger Johnson.
Elsewhere, Northampton have signed former Gretna midfielder Abdul Osman on a two-year deal. Town, Leeds and Brighton were reported to be interested in the 21-year-old free agent last week, while SPL Kilmarnock recently prematurely announced that they had signed the former England Colleges player.
