Fab Wants to Face Feyenoord - Ipswich Town News
Fabian Wilnis has revealed that he hopes home town club Feyenoord will provide the opposition in his testimonial match. Wilnis, who earlier today revealed that he could join Colchester United over the summer, was awarded the game after spending nine years with the Blues.
The 37-year-old told the club site: "I grew up in Rotterdam and lived only a few minutes from their stadium.
"My dad was a steward there and they were the club I supported as a boy. My family are Feyenoord fans, so it's a club that is close to my heart, just as Ipswich is, obviously.
"We are still in the early stages of sorting things out for my testimonial year, but if things go to plan, the match will take place as part of the pre-season build up at the start of next season."
