Williams Set for Bristol City - Ipswich Town News
Bristol City are the club for whom Gavin Williams is on the verge of signing, according to reports in the West Country. The midfielder was first linked with the Welshman in January.
The fee is not confirmed, but it is believed to be somewhere in the region of the £300,000 the Blues paid West Ham for the former Hereford man in January 2006, which probably includes clauses based on appearances.
The Wales international is believed to have already agreed personal terms with the Robins. The move to Ashton Gate means Williams will be reunited with manager Gary Johnson, who he worked under at Yeovil Town prior to his spell with West Ham.
Williams made 51 starts and eight sub appearances for the Blues, scoring three goals.
