Stoke Linked With Walters Once Again - Ipswich Town News
Stoke City are once again reported to be on the trail of Town striker Jon Walters. The newly-promoted Potters are said to be ready to offer the Blues £1.5 million for the former Chester man.
Walters was first linked with Tony Pulis's side early last month and on a few occasions in subsequent weeks when a fee of £1 million was mentioned.
Town would be unlikely to accept all but the most outrageous bid for last season's Player of the Year and even the latest reported offer of £1.5 million will be some distance from Town's valuation of the man thought by many to be Jim Magilton's best signing so far.
Walters signalled his intention to remain with the Blues in January when he signed a new contract tying him to Town until 2011. During the last transfer window Wigan were strongly linked with the 24-year-old.
