Walters Linked With West Brom - Ipswich Town News

West Brom are the latest club to be linked with a move for Town striker Jon Walters. Earlier today, Stoke were claimed to be ready to make a £1.5 million offer for the ex-Chester frontman.

Town are unlikely to be willing to sell Walters for anything smaller than a huge fee. The player himself signalled his intention to remain with the Blues in January when he signed a new contract tying him to Town until 2011. During the last transfer window Wigan were strongly linked with the 24-year-old.

Meanwhile, one-time Town target Emile Mpenza is on trial with newly-promoted Hull City, having been formally released by Manchester City earlier in the week.

Elsewhere, former Blue Martijn Reuser is training with his old club Willem II having left RKC Waalwijk at the end of the season. The 33-year-old had previously been linked with NAC Breda.
