Eidur Love To Join Town - Ipswich Town News

Frustrated Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen may be a surprise target for George Burley in the summer, with a source in Iceland saying that Town have shown an interest in the frontman.

With Town possibly playing in Europe in one competition or another, Burley is bound to be looking at strengthening the team, and may be interested in Hermann Hreidarsson's fellow countryman.

Gudjohnse has started just 15 Premiership games this season despite scoring 10 goals.

He is a regular on the Stamford Bridge bench and may wish to move in the summer as he's frustrated in the lack of opportunities.

However, he is under contract and Chelsea may not want to let him go.
