Town Confirm Hollman Appointment - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that James Hollman has been appointed the club's new goalkeeper-coach. TWTD was first to reveal that the former youth keeper had won the race to succeed Andy Rhodes, who left the club in May.

Hollman told the club site: "It's a dream job for me to come back and work at the club I support.

"It's a fantastic opportunity for me and I'm really looking forward to playing a part in Ipswich moving forward."

Boss Jim Magilton says Hollman was the most impressive of a number of candidates interviewed: "He has impressed me with his attitude and ideas and comes highly recommended by people he has worked with already at this club."

Hollman was a Town youth player alongside Richard Wright, before moving into non-league football with Kings Lynn, while also coaching at the Town academy with Bryan Klug, now the Blues' first team coach, and working with keepers like Lewis Price.

The Canterbury-born stopper subsequently moved on Norwich where he spent seven years and worked with Robert Green and Joe Lewis, having been recruited by Sammy Morgan, then with the Canaries, but now the education officer at Town's academy.
