Angelos Charisteas's agent Paul Koutsoliakos says his player would be interested in a move to England, although not specifically to the Blues. Reports of Town's interest in the Greek international emerged last week.
Koutsoliakos says that the Blues are one of a number of clubs interested in the 28-year-old: "I am aware there is interest from Ipswich and I believe they have spoken to Nuremberg.
"There is interest from a lot of clubs, but nothing is fixed right now. It all depends on the clubs interested and the offers made for him.
"Angelos would be interested in a move to England, but it all depends on whether or not it is a good possibility for him."
Various reports in Greece and Germany claim Nuremberg have turned down Town's offer of €3.5 million (£2.7 million) and that Charisteas is not interested in joining the Blues. However, UK-based reports have at the same time claimed that a fee has been agreed and the Town will talk to the striker when he returns from his holiday next week.
Nuremberg are planning for next season without their Greek frontman, although he is expected to be involved in next week's pre-season trip to Austria.
A move to another German club is believed to Charisteas's favoured option, although he has previously stated that he would like to play in England at some stage in his career.
Reports in Greece claim Town have offered the striker €1.6 million a season as part of a three-year deal.
