Izaguirre Fails to Make Trip - Ipswich Town News
Honduran international Emilio Izaguirre did not make his trip to England on Friday as expected due to a mix-up involving plane tickets. The left-sided full-back or midfielder is due to spend 10 days on trial with the Blues, but will not be involved in this week's pre-season tour of Belfast.
Izaguirre was expected to pick up his tickets to England at the airport, but according to reports in his home country they weren't to be found. The 22-year-old is now likely to be arriving for his spell with the Blues on Wednesday.
The Motagua player is confident that he will do enough to convince Jim Magilton to offer him a contract: "I know that I am going to pass the test.
"I have a great deal of confidence that I will play in English soccer.
Izaguirre has been capped 20 times by his country, scoring once, and was part of the Honduran U20 team which took part in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championships in Holland.
