Wilnis in Action for Bury - Ipswich Town News

Released Town defender Fabian Wilnis was in action for Bury Town in a friendly against Hadleigh United at Ram Meadow on Tuesday evening. Wilnis, who has a testimonial with Town next summer, had previously been training with Needham Market.

Wilnis is planning to remain in the Ipswich area despite leaving the Blues and hopes to start a career in coaching. The Dutchman was linked with a move to Colchester United earlier in the summer and, while other Football League clubs are believed to be interested in his signature, Wilnis has been training and coaching with local non-league sides so far during pre-season.

Meanwhile, Town have revealed that ‘kid for a quid' schemes will be run for the home friendlies with West Ham and West Brom.
