Charisteas Could Be Tempted By England or Spain - Ipswich Town News
Greek international striker Angelos Charisteas has admitted he may be tempted by the chance to play in England or Spain, but a move to Town still appears less to his taste. Charisteas is currently in Austria on a training camp with the Nuremberg squad.
The 28-year-old reiterated his desire to remain with his relegated current club, but concedes that moves elsewhere might interest him: "England and Spain could tempt me.â€Â
French side Nantes have joined Town in the race to sign the former Werder Bremen man, but according to reports none of the offers currently on the table are believed to interest to the player.
French football isn't believed to hold much of a lure for Greece's Euro 2004 hero, while he is understood to have decided that if he's going to play second tier football, he might as well do it in Germany with his current club.
Nuremberg meanwhile are keen to sell Charisteas as they look to raise cash after last season's relegation.
