Colchester Boss Williams Sorry to Lose Lisbie - Ipswich Town News
Colchester United boss Geraint Williams says he is sorry to lose striker Kevin Lisbie to the Blues. Lisbie has joined Town on a three-year deal for a fee believed to be £600,000.
Williams told the U's official site: "We are obviously disappointed to lose Kevin. We showed how much we wanted to keep him and did our best in that regard. However, the lure of Championship football proved too great and he has decided that he would like to join Ipswich.
"On a personal note, I would like to thank Kevin for his service. We have been good for his career and he has been good for Colchester United with the quality he has shown."
Lisbie spent a year with Colchester, scoring 17 goals in 40 starts and three sub appearances.
