Scowy's Fear - Ipswich Town News
James Scowcroft, missing from today's Europe-confirming win over Coventry, is worried that his season may be over. The striker or midfielder is suffering from a groin problem and has to wait on a specialist's report and scans before he knows the severity of the problem.
Scowcroft said: "The problem is at the top of the groin near the pelvic joint. It had been bothering me for some time, but got worse against Newcastle last Saturday when I over-stretched."
The Bury-based player missed out at Wembley last season due to a hamstring injury and missing out on important end of season games two years running would be cruel on one of Town's most faithful servants over the last few years.
Wayne Brown is still having treatment on the hamstring injury which has stopped him from playing as big a role in QPR's relegation struggle as he would have liked. QPR were relegated today and there seems no immediate end to the centre-half's injury woe.
