Cambridge Confirm Clarke Loan Interest - Ipswich Town News
New Cambridge United boss Gary Brabin has confirmed that he is keen to take Town striker Billy Clarke on loan, as reported by TWTD earlier in the week. Brabin took charge of the Blue Square Premier side earlier in the summer.
On Tuesday we reported the U's interest in the Irish U21 international, who was one of the five players transfer-listed by Jim Magilton earlier in the summer.
Brbin says his clubs interest is currently at an early stage and no move is imminent: "He's one on a list we're monitoring, but it's nowhere near that stage at the moment."
We understand a number of League One sides are also interested in loaning Clarke, who has a year left on his Town contract.
