Thatcher on Trial With West Ham - Ipswich Town News

Town target Ben Thatcher is on trial at West Ham United and is in their reserve side playing Bishop's Stortford in a pre-season friendly this evening.

Thatcher has been in talks with the Blues regarding a move to Portman Road after leaving Charlton at the end of last season.

The ex-Manchester City and Spurs man impressed Jim Magilton while on trial with the Blues during the tour of Belfast. The former Wales international has also had time on trial at Wolves this summer.

Ex-Town academy defender Luke Webster is in the Bishop's Stortford squad facing the Hammers' second string.
