U18s Defeat Woodbridge - Ipswich Town News

Town's U18s continued their pre-season programme with a 4-1 victory over Woodbridge Town at Notcutts Park on Wednesday evening. The Blues' goals came from Connor Wickham (2), Jack Ainsley and Josh Capocci.

Woodbridge, fielding a senior side, had gone ahead through Lee O'Neill in the third minute, but Ainsley struck back on 26. Goals from Wickham, Capocci and Wickham again after the break sealed the win.

Meanwhile, Town's U15s won their second group game at the Galway Cup, defeating Newcastle United 3-1. The young Blues lost their opening match 2-1 to a Republic of Ireland side.

The U15s take on Donegal District League on Thursday and Leeds on Friday, before the semi-finals and final on Saturday.
