Murphy Called Up - Ipswich Town News
Academy striker Paul Murphy has been named in the Republic of Ireland U19 squad playing a four-team international tournament later this month. The Irish youngsters take on Portugal, Spain and Ukraine in games played at Athlone, Longford and Tullamore.
It's the first time Murphy, who was named Player of the Tournament and won the Golden Boot at the recent Northern Ireland Milk Cup, has been called up at U19 level.
Ireland start with a game against Portugal at Flancare Park, Longford on Monday August 18th, with a match against Ukraine at Leah Victoria Park, Tullamore a day later before their final game against the Spanish at Lissywoollen, Athlone on the Thursday.
