Campo Not Yet Match Fit - Ipswich Town News

New signing Iván Campo says he is not yet fully fit and ready to take his place in the Town first team. The Spaniard signed a two-year deal with the Blues earlier today.

The 34-year-old told the club site: "I am very happy to be at Ipswich. I was impressed with what Mr Magilton said when we met last week, the plans and ambitions he has for the club and I'm here to help.

"If I can help the younger players here then that is good, but I'm here to play football myself, to help the club get back in the Premier League.

"I'm not sure what to expect because I have not played in the Championship before, but I will know in three or four games and I'm sure it will be OK.

"At the moment, I am not fit for the first team because I have not played any football since the end of last season. I will need maybe two or three weeks then I will be ready."
