Keegan: Town Bid Accepted - Ipswich Town News
Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan has confirmed that the Magpies have accepted an undisclosed bid from the Blues for striker Shola Ameobi. The former England U21 international has been given permission to speak to the Blues.
Keegan says the Blues have been given the go ahead to talk to the 26-year-old: "I think Abdoulaye Faye is going to Stoke, and Shola Ameobi has been given permission to speak to Ipswich.â€Â
Town's bid is believed to be an initial £2.5 million with further cash due on appearances and promotion.
