Naylor Thanks Fans - Ipswich Town News

Town striker Richard Naylor has thanked TWTD and readers for the messages of good will he received duing his recent run of bad news. Naylor was hit by a double blow of recurring injuries and medical problems for his newborn child, Jessica.

Messages from TWTD readers were passed on to Richard who replied thus: "Firstly I'd like to thank everybody who has sent good will wishes to me and my family, it has been very encouraging for us all. To say that the last few months have been difficult would be an understatement, but at no point have I got down and that must be due, in part, to the support the Ipswich Town fans have shown me."

He continued: "My daughter is doing very well at the moment which is a relief and I am getting back slowly. I'm having to wear a strapping in training and in matches for the next few months, when eventually my posture will have changed enough to relieve the pressure on my knees. Still, the lads aren't doing too bad without me, but there's always room for improvement.

"Finally I'd like to that all at TWTD for everything you've done and hope you are looking forward to the last few games as much as I am. Hopefully next year in Europe will be something special!"

What a nice chap.
