Volz Set to Turn Down Town? - Ipswich Town News
Fulham defender Moritz Volz is reportedly ready to turn down his switch to the Blues. The German full-back is said to be looking for a move to a top division side rather and is reluctant to drop down a level.
Volz is said to have received offers from French and German clubs, although no side other than Town has recently been linked with the Westphalian. Sunderland are also claimed to be interested.
The former Arsenal trainee began talks with Town earlier in the week but there has been little news on their progress since then.
Yesterday, the 25-year-old updated his diary on his website Volzy.com but made no mention of his proposed move to the Blues.
If today's reports prove to be true, Town may well have to look elsewhere for full-back cover before the closure of the transfer window a week on Monday.
Town boss Jim Magilton is reported to have been at the Scotland-Northern Ireland match last night in which he would have seen Gareth McAuley playing at right-back for his country.
