U18s Start Season With Victory Over Barnsley - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18 side began their league campaign with a 2-1 victory at Barnsley on Saturday morning.
The young Blues took the lead within the first few minutes when Matt Daniels slid in Reggie Lambe, who rounded the keeper before slotting the ball into the empty net.
The hosts equalised on the half hour but Town regained the lead almost immediately when good build-up play resulted in Jack Ainsley beating past the keeper and securing the three points for Town.
U18s: Ward, Clemo, Dunbar, Cawley (Wickham 65), Eastman, Watson, Griffiths (Clark 55 (Meekings 75)), Hyam, Ainsley, Daniels and Lambe. Unused: Stensrud.
