Bowden: Fulham's Volz to Sign Today - Ipswich Town News

Town chief executive Derek Bowden says the Blues expect to sign Fulham full-back Moritz Volz on loan today. Bowden has also confirmed that Alan Lee is in talks with Crystal Palace after the clubs agreed a fee.

Bowden told the club site: "We are very close with Moritz and hopefully things could be tied up today.”

Volz is set to join on a season-long loan with the Blues paying a fee as is common in these deals, Town having previously laid out cash when Gary Roberts and Stephen Bywater joined on loan.

Bowden says Lee is at Palace but that the player is yet to agree personal terms: "We have accepted an offer from Crystal Palace for Alan. He has been having a medical there and is now speaking to them with regards to personal terms. As far as I'm aware they have not been agreed yet."

The fee for Lee is understood to be £600,000 plus further top-ups on appearances and goals.

Tabloid reports earlier today claimed that the Blues wanted Ben Watson to move from Palace to Portman Road as part of the deal, but this has not been confirmed by either club.
