Greene King Shirt Sponsorship Ends - Ipswich Town News

Town's shirt sponsors Greene King have anounced that they will no longer be the name worn by Blues players. The Bury-based brewery offered Town a £2.5 million deal, but Town have negotiated a deal for a larger amount with another company.

Greene King have been the sponsors since 1995, but there had been rumours recently that the company had been proced out of the market with Town now a Premiership club.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks will announce the name of the new sponsor tomorrow morning at a press conference. The names suggested for the new sponsor are NTL, BT and NPower with NPower thought to be the favourites.

Greene King wish to continue their sponsorhip of Town at some level with sponsorship of the South Stand a likely future venture.
